Questions gym owners ask
How do debit orders work in BetterDesk?
Each month BetterDesk works out what every member on debit order pays: their package and any agreed extras. You check the list and send it to your gym’s own Netcash account, and Netcash collects. Members add their bank details on Netcash’s own page, so BetterDesk never keeps the full account number.
Do we need a Netcash account?
For debit orders, yes. They run through your gym’s own Netcash account, in your gym’s name. Members who pay by EFT or at the desk get invoices from BetterDesk instead.
What packages can we offer?
Monthly packages with the number of classes a month you choose, packages for one, two or a family, and agreed extras such as items from the shop.
What happens when a class is full?
Members join the waiting list. When a place opens, you let the next member in, and they get a message that they have a place.
Do members need to download an app?
No. Members sign in on their phone’s browser and can add BetterDesk to the home screen, where it opens like an app. New members join with your join link or QR poster.
Can we bring our members across?
Yes, at no extra cost. Export your member list from your current system or an Excel sheet, and we bring it across for you.
